About Donna
Donna Shank is the President and Founder of Wings to Thrive, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Northern Virginia. After her son Ryan was diagnosed with autism in 2004, Donna changed her career focus to autism, receiving training and certifications in various autism interventions. In 2013, she attended Shenandoah University's Master's Occupational Program and created a business plan for Wings to Fly Therapy and Play Center, a pediatric therapy center understanding autism from a parent's perspective. In 2019, she created Wings to Thrive to provide community experiences and opportunities for families of children with autism. Donna offers 1:1 and group RPM sessions and camps, hosts workshops with Soma and certified providers, and speaks English, Italian, and Spanish.
